As some of our more loyal readers will know, we were heavily involved in rolling out Europes first open source self-driving vehicle as part of the Smart Mobility Living Lab project in London late last year. The SMLL team have now brought out a video with interview and footage of the trial:

We’ve punched massively above our weight on this – a small but spectacular company StreetDrone is showing what’s possible when you spend time collaborating with developers across the world on open source whilst focusing our safety team on ensuring that we’re responsibly deploying autonomous vehicles on public roads. The SMLL project is going to be instrumental in making sure that the UK learns quickly about how new mobility solutions work in the real world, and how technology in transportation will help reshape everyone’s lives.
